A FUGA, el concert obre un espai d’escolta que prolonga l’atenció a les veus singulars del programa cinematogràfic.

Maria BC’s classically trained voice intertwines with guitars, electronic textures and layers of sound in songs that move between folk and ambient music. Their music combines the intimacy of home recording with the expansiveness of a slowly shifting soundscape. At FUGA, the concert opens a space for listening that extends the film programme’s attention to distinctive voices.

- Maria BC és un projecte musical nascut a Ohio i establert a Oakland. Des de l’EP Devil’s Rain i l’àlbum Hyaline fins a Spike Field, publicat per Sacred Bones, la seva trajectòria ha ampliat les possibilitats de la cançó a través de l’experimentació sonora. També ha contribuït amb «Taper» a la banda sonora d’I Saw the TV Glow, al costat d’artistes com Florist, Caroline Polachek i yeule. Una pràctica íntima on la veu i els instruments es transformen mútuament.

- Born in Ohio and based in Oakland, Maria BC has expanded the possibilities of songwriting through sonic experimentation. From the Devil’s Rain EP and the album Hyaline to Spike Field, released by Sacred Bones, their work has developed an intimate practice in which voice and instruments continually transform one another. They also contributed “Taper” to the I Saw the TV Glow soundtrack, alongside artists including Florist, Caroline Polachek and yeule.
